Fireside and Frogs
The Keweenaw Land Trust invites you to explore the Paavola wetlands and learn the sounds of our local frogs. Join us at 7:00 pm to learn the calls of different frogs of the Keweenaw. We'll have a bonfire, smores, and games until dark. Those interested in sticking around late are welcome to join us in listening to calls using the techniques of the state's frog and toad survey. The main trailhead for the Paavola Wetlands Nature Area is north of Hancock off of US-41. Turn east onto No. 9 Road, and the trailhead is near the end of the road, about 0.8 mile.
