Bob Milne
Bob Milne returns to the Calumet Theatre on August 7th to once again wow an audience with his ragtime, boogie-woogie, and turn of the century pieces. Called the best ragtime and boogie-woogie pianist in the world, Milne not only treats the audience to a remarkable musical performance but also adds to his playing, his humorous comments and insights on the history of the ragtime genre. His skills as a musician and as a showman are superb and never fail to entertain.
Milne is possibly the most traveled player ever, traveling over 50,000 miles a year, playing over 250 concerts annually nationally and internationally while performing at a variety of events from church socials to presidential events as well as at regular concerts. He was filmed at the Library of Congress and declared a “National Treasure” and is considered an active “Musical Ambassador” for the US Dept of State.
This concert is the final event in the Musical Mondays Series supported by J & J Broadcasting, Range Bank, in collaboration with Main Street Calumet by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs Minigrant program, administered by the Region 1A Copper Country Community Arts Council.
